Terms of Use
The rules for using BentOdds — what it is, what it explicitly is not, and the limits of what it promises.
Effective August 24, 2026.
These terms govern your use of bentodds.com and the BentOdds newsletter (together, the “Service”). BentOdds is a trade name; the Service is operated by CodeGin LLC (“we”, “us”), and any agreement here is with that company. By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. What BentOdds is — and is not
BentOdds publishes retrospective analysis of sports betting markets. It examines games that have already finished and explains what the market expected, what happened, and why those differed.
This matters legally as well as editorially, so to be unambiguous:
- The Service is informational and editorial only.
- It is not gambling advice. We do not tell you what to bet, how much, or when.
- It is not picks, predictions, projections, or handicapping. We publish nothing about games that have not yet been played.
- We are not a sportsbook. We do not accept, place, broker, or settle wagers, and we hold no gaming license.
- We do not guarantee any outcome, financial or otherwise. Nothing here is an assurance that any past pattern will repeat.
Any decision you make about wagering is entirely your own, made at your own risk.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age for sports wagering where you live if that is higher, to use the Service.
Sports betting laws vary by state and country, and it is your responsibility to know and follow the ones that apply to you. Reading BentOdds is not a substitute for knowing what is legal where you are.
3. Accuracy of information
We take accuracy seriously, and we will still get things wrong sometimes.
Odds, lines, scores, and statistics come from third-party sources, including sportsbook data feeds and sports data providers. Those sources occasionally disagree with one another, revise historical records, or contain errors we cannot detect. Lines also differ between sportsbooks and move continuously, so a number we report will not always match what you saw at your book.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
If you spot an error, please tell us — corrections are welcome and we will fix them.
Sources. Historical odds and results are obtained from third-party sports data providers under their respective terms. We report those figures as facts about what happened; we do not redistribute the underlying data feeds, and we make no claim of ownership over them.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Free subscriptions cost nothing and can be cancelled by unsubscribing.
If paid subscriptions are offered, they renew automatically at the stated interval until cancelled. Payment is handled by a third-party processor under its own terms; we do not store your card details. Prices may change, but only on notice to you before a renewal takes effect.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, and you keep access for the rest of the period you already paid for. Cancelling stops the next charge — it does not end the current one.
Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including partial periods, except where a refund is required by law. Cancel before your renewal date and you will not be charged again.
That said, if something goes wrong on our end — a billing error, a duplicate charge, a stretch where the newsletter simply did not ship — get in touch. A stated policy is not a reason to keep money we did not earn.
5. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- Republish, resell, or redistribute our content commercially without permission.
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Service by automated means.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service to break the law, or in any way that interferes with anyone else’s use of it.
Quoting a passage with attribution and a link is fine and encouraged.
6. Intellectual property
The written analysis, layout, and design of the Service are owned by CodeGin LLC and protected by copyright. Underlying factual data — scores, odds, results — is not owned by us and we make no claim to it.
Team and league names. We refer to teams, conferences, and leagues by name because that is the only way to report on them. Those names are the trademarks of their respective owners, used here solely to identify the subject of factual commentary.
We do not use team or league logos. That is a standing editorial policy, not an oversight. BentOdds is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any team, conference, league, or sportsbook, and nothing in the Service should be read as suggesting otherwise.
7. Third-party links
The Service may link to third-party sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. A link is not an endorsement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CodeGin LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, gambling losses, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service — whether or not we were advised such damages were possible.
We are specifically not liable for any money you lose wagering. The Service tells you about games that are already over. What you do afterwards is your decision alone.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached, or discontinue the Service entirely on reasonable notice.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and, for subscribers, communicated by email before taking effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there, and you and we consent to that venue.
12. Responsible gambling
Sports betting carries real financial risk and is addictive for some people. BentOdds is not a tool for chasing losses and should never be treated as one.
If gambling is causing problems for you or someone you know, help is free and confidential: call 1-800-GAMBLER, or visit ncpgambling.org.
13. Contact
The Service is operated by CodeGin LLC. A contact address for questions about these terms will be published here before paid subscriptions open.
